History of Mongolians’ scripts recapped in a book
VideoA new book on history of scripts used by Mongolians has been released. It recapitulated script history starting from the Stone of Chinggis Khaan, the most ancient written monument of Mongols’ up to the Cyrillic alphabet, in use of today’s Mongolia.
Mongolians created and used over 10 scripts in their history and the book named ‘The Mongolian script heritage’ introduces all those scripts, memorials and monuments of the scripts, researches and other related facts, besides a list of historic events related to Mongolian scripts.
Making a book on intellectual heritage of many generations of Mongolians was initiated by S.Erdenebold and realized by team of young researchers. They founded a publishing house, Steppe Publishing and have launched book series of Mongolian language, culture and history with this book.
‘The Mongolian Script Heritage’ contains history of script culture of Mongolians that has lasted for more than a thousand year, letters, decisive to destiny of the world that exchanged with foreign countries, orders and seals, which show power of the empire, books with stone pages, messages and exciting and stimulating stories.
