831 new COVID-19 cases and two COVID-19-related deaths reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ 831 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected after tests were performed at 23 laboratories nationwide in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health reports today at its daily press briefing.
Two people, a 42-year-old man and a 91-year-old woman, have died from COVID-19, which brings the total number of coronavirus-related deaths in the country to 22. The health ministry also reported the death of a cancer patient with COVID-19.
Of the new cases, 765 have been detected in over 150 khoroos of Ulaanbaatar city and 66 in rural areas.
12,557 cases of COVID-19 have so far been recorded in Ulaanbaatar and 1,905 cases in rural areas. As of today, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Mongolia has reached 14,464. In the past 24 hours, 284 people have been discharged from the hospital, which brings the total number of recoveries to 9,159.
