Energy Minister meets Turkish Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Energy N.Tavinbekh held a meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Mongolia Zafer Ates on December 20.
At the meeting, Minister N.Tavinbekh said Turkey has abundant experience in renewable energy production, specially hydropower industry, emphasizing that there are possibilities for the two sides to cooperate in the field and jointly implement projects on small and medium-sized hydropower plants.
Ambassador Zafer Ates noted that Turkey sources more than 50 percent of its energy from renewables and expressed readiness to cooperate with Mongolia in the field.
The sides also concurred that there are ample opportunities for cooperation in agriculture, construction, environment, small and medium industries, tourism, energy, mining, and transport.
