Mongolia-EU development cooperation working group convenes

March 2, the second meeting of Mongolia-EU development cooperation working group took place as a parallel event of the Mongolia-EU Cooperation Committee. The
meeting was co-chaired by B.Sukh-Ochir, Director of the Financial Policy
Department at the Ministry of Finance, and Jean-Louis Ville, Acting Director for
Asia in the EU International Partnerships.
The sides discussed the principal
actions being taken to improve employment and budget management under the
budget support program of the 2014–2020 Multiannual Indicative Programme between
the Government of Mongolia and the European Commission and their outcomes. The
EU’s 2021-2027 Multiannual Indicative Programme for Mongolia and the Global Gateway
and Green Bond initiatives were also presented.
Emphasizing that the key areas of the abovementioned programs are aligned with the Mongolian government’s long- and medium-term development policy, both sides expressed their readiness to cooperate in employment, green infrastructure, green and sustainable development, and digital transformation.
