Master budget in figures
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first quarter of 2016, total equilibrated revenue and grants of the General Government Budget amounted to MNT 1095.2 billion and total expenditure and net lending amounted to MNT 1710.9 billion, representing a deficit of 615.7 billion Togrog in the balance.
Compared to the same period of last year, tax revenue decreased by 120.0 billion Togrog or 11.0 percent. This decrease was mainly due to decreases of 100.6 billion Togrog or 52.8
percent in other taxes, fees and of 73.1 billion Togrog or 29.2 percent in income tax, although social contributions, taxes on property, value added tax and excise taxes increased by 2.4-36.0 billion Togrog or 1.9-48.9 percent compared to the same period of 2015.
Total expenditure and net lending of the master budget reached MNT 1710.9 billion, showing increase of 336.9 billion Togrog or 24.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
This increase mainly reflected increases of 187.2 billion Togrog or 15.1 percent in current
expenditure, 134.3 billion Togrog or twofold in capital expenditure and 48.1 billion Togrog or 9.3
percent in current transfers compared to the same period of 2015.
