Battsetseg becames two times world champion
VideoMongolian female athlete Battsetseg Soronzonbold has became a two times freestyle wrestling world champion by defeating her opponent Risako Kawai from Japan in the final match.
The Wrestling World Championships are being hosted in Las Vegas, United States of America, and the competition will take place from the 8th to 13th of September 8-13
Gold medal taken by Battsetseg is the second gold for our athlete and the 50th medal in the history of freestyle wrestling in Mongolia.
Battsetseg won gold medal in 2010 in the World Championships, bronze medal in 2012 London Olympic Games and silver medal in 2013 World Championship.
In other words, she has proved the title of a World Champion for the second time after 5 years.
As of Friday, our team has won one gold medal and has taken two fifth places. This would guarantee that three Mongolian athletes could participate in the Olympic Games.
