Ulaanbaatar, May 11, 2023 /MONTSAME/. On the 78th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Russian Federation O. Enkhtuvshin and the staff of the Embassy laid flowers to the monument "Horses Striving for Victory" on the Terrace of Honor in Moscow on May 10, 2023.

During the war years, more than 500,000 horses donated by the Mongolian people made a valuable contribution to the victory of the war. The "Revolutionary Mongolia" tank brigade, built with the funds of the Mongolian people, traveled the path of warrior’s glory from Moscow to Berlin, while the "Mongol Ard" aircraft squadron fought on the Kalinin, Western and First Belarus Fronts.

At that time, Mongolians fought for victory from the first day of the war and contributed to the victory of the Second World War by sending many convoys of aid to the Red Army. In memory of this, the staff of the Embassy of Mongolia in Moscow paid tribute to the statue of Mongolian horses that brought together the victory.
