Ulaanbaatar, August 12, 2023 /MONTSAME/ The session of the third section "Mongolian society, economy, politics and legal studies" of the 12th International Congress of Mongolists continues. In this branch session, PhD and Professor Sh. Ariunaa gave one presentation on the topic "Methodology of Sociological Analysis of the Ikh Zasag Law" and two presentations on the topic "Traditions of World Intercultural Relations".

In her speech, she mentioned that the Ikh Zasag Law has become the moral values of Mongolians and the lifeblood of Mongolian law in many ways. She said that she had studied Ikh Zasag Law from the angle of order, organization, and management skills of Mongolians.

“As for me, I brought up what features of each part of Ikh Zasag Law constituting society are preserved from sociological viewpoint, how it should be in the current society considering the fabric of society, and suggested to researchers the methodological concept of this aspect,” outlined the Professor.

The topic of her second, joint presentation was based on "Traditions of Intercultural Relations of the World". In her report she pointed out, “The ancient Mongols, particularly the Great Emperor Chinggis Khaan is considered one of the founders of intercultural relations among the countries of the world. From this point of view, in terms of intercultural theory and methodology, I have also made suggestions on what we should pay attention to in expanding and developing our research.

She emphasized in her presentation that Chinggis Khaan study is not only about the study of Chinggis Khaan, but it is also the study of Mongols, their mentality, and Mongolia.

Speaking on the characteristics and importance of the International Congress of Mongolists, she mentioned that the Congress of Mongolian Scholars was founded in 1959. At that time, Mongolian scholars who were working on Mongolian source documents started with the study of Mongolian language, linguistics and literature. Today, Mongolian studies have expanded to include many fields, not only native language, literature, and culture. Various section meetings have been organized, and the number of academics participating in them has increased.

Professor explained the reason for the expansion of the International Congress of Mongolists. Efforts of international scientists and researchers to study Mongolia, the Mongolian nation, and the Mongolian mentality went beyond linguistics and literature. They are interested in the roots of the society existence, the way of life of Mongols, their thinking, relations with other nations, art, history, intercultural links, as well as the way they existed in terms of law and economy.

Previous and recent surveys and studies of Mongolists address the above topics. International Congress of Mongolists is the major event for reporting the results of these studies. It is essential that scientists and researchers get information from various fields and sources, exchange information, give each other experience and share ideas, bringing up major topics and areas of future research.
