Ulaanbaatar, September 25, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Mongolia will celebrate World Space Week 2024, an eagerly anticipated event for children in Mongolia and around the world. The celebration will take place on October 4-10, 2024, at UG Arena in Ulaanbaatar.
World Space Week is an international celebration of science and technology, and their contribution to the betterment of humanity. Last year, World Space Week was marked in 90 countries worldwide. This year, the number of participating countries has increased to 100.
The event is an excellent opportunity for parents and children to spend quality time together in a fun and creative way. World Space Week introduces the benefits of science and advanced technology for space exploration to children, while sparking their interest in the field.
World Space Week 2024 will offer free workshops, science experiments, and lessons for children and the youth, teaching them about space, with an artificial vacuum environment to simulate the vastness of space. Fun activities will include observing the sun and the stars through telescopes, completing space-related tasks, and creating model spaceships. World Space Week will be held in all 21 aimags of Mongolia and over 100 countries worldwide. This year’s event in Mongolia will have over 150 volunteers working to give an exciting space experience to children.
