Mongolian Ice Hockey Team to Compete in the 2025 World Championship Division III

Ulaanbaatar, April 16, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Division III Ice Hockey World Championship will kick off in Mexico City, Mexico, on April 25, 2025. 


The 10-day Championship will bring together national teams from Mongolia, Mexico, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Singapore, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.


The Mongolian National Ice Hockey Team will be led by Head Coach A. Mergen, alongside Coaches N. Otgonbayar and N. Mishigsuren. The 21-member National Team is currently undergoing intensive training at the Sports Palace in Chingeltei district, Ulaanbaatar City.


The team roster consists of B. Batu, M. Chinzolboo, L. Bodikhuu, B. Bilguun, B. Enkhbat, E. Munkhzaya, G. Munkhtulga, E. Enkh-Amgalan, E. Ariunbileg, B. Batbayasgalan, M. Batbaatar, E. Enkhsukh, U. Tsengel, U. Nyamdavaa, B. Sodbileg, E. Amartur, E. Enkhkhuslen, D. Lkhagvadorj, N. Jadamba, and A. Bilguun.


Notably, the Mongolian National Ice Hockey Team won a silver medal at the 2023 IIHF Division IV World Championship, followed by a gold medal in 2024.
