Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jorge Mario Bergoglio was elected as Pope in 2013, and since then, Pope Francis has made a great contribution to global peace, universal respect between nations, and the promotion of grace and humanity to mankind.
In 2023, Pope Francis
paid a State Visit to Mongolia for the first time, opening a new chapter in the
history of relations between Mongolia and the Holy See. During the State Visit, Pope Francis defined the people of Mongolia as the symbol of religious and
spiritual freedom, and praised their contribution to global peace.
Dignitaries from around 150 countries came to bid their final farewell to Pope Francis.
