Global Money Week 2022 in Mongolia launched
EconomyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. A ‘Global Money Week’ campaign, being organized by OECD International Network on Financial Education, was launched for the 10th year in Mongolia on March 14.
Global Money Week is an annual global awareness-raising
campaign on the importance of ensuring that young people, from an early age,
are financially aware, and are gradually acquiring the knowledge, skills,
attitudes and behaviors necessary to make sound financial decisions and
ultimately achieve financial well-being and financial resilience. This year’s
official slogan of the GMW is ‘Build your future, be smart about money’. The
Bank of Mongolia has been organizing the campaign since 2013 with aims to
support the financial literacy of children and youth.
This year, the Bank of Mongolia, National Center for
Lifelong Education, the Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Mongolian Banking
Association, the Department of Family and Youth, the Federal Republic of
Germany’s ‘Sparkasse’ bank fund in Mongolia, Rio Tinto, Unitel Group, Lemon
Press Company and commercial banks are working together to implement the
campaign between March 14 and 27.
During the GMW, different types of activities will be
organized including trainings, competitions and advocacy events on personal
financial planning, future savings and investments, and managing money for
future.
