More Than 3,000 Land Parcels Cleared in Ulaanbaatar in 2025

Ulaanbaatar, December 25, 2025 /MONTSAME/. A total of 3,933 land parcels have been cleared across the Capital city so far this year.
According to the Governor’s Office of the Capital City of Ulaanbaatar, land clearance has been carried out for 1,021 parcels for engineering infrastructure, 2,332 parcels for partial master planning, and 580 parcels for social infrastructure projects. In accordance with the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar’s orders, land clearance activities have continued across Ulaanbaatar to ensure a safe and healthy living environment for residents.
As a result of land clearance in 2025, conditions have been created for the construction of housing for 11,575 households. Additionally, land has been cleared at 28 locations to facilitate the construction of 60.3 kilometers of roads. Land clearance has also been completed at 13 locations for the renovation of engineering networks, five locations for flood protection embankments, 14 locations for kindergartens and schools, for the construction of parking facilities for 800 vehicles near schools, three thermal power plants, and 21 locations for other buildings and facilities of essential social need.
Meanwhile, under the Capital city’s 2026 land
management plan, preparations have been made to implement 341 projects and
activities, involving the clearance of 4,344.05 hectares of land, with
compensation provided. Specifically, land clearance is planned next year in
areas including Khoroo 14 of Chingeltei district, around Buudal 5 and 6, the
ridge behind Gandan Monastery and the “Urgoo” Cinema, Khoroos 4, 5, and 8 of
Songinokhairkhan district, the Tsaiz-16 area of Bayanzurkh district, near 34th Secondary School in Khan-Uul district, and Dambadarjaa.
