Forum on Southeast Asian countries’ economic security being held

Ulaanbaatar / MONTSAME/. An international forum themed Southeast Asian Countries’ Economic Security and Expanding Cooperation” kicked off at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Ulaanbaatar on September 14.
The forum is focusing on development issues of China, Republic of Korea, Japan and Mongolia. Representatives from these countries as well as officials from the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy of the Mongolian Parliament, Permanent Representatives of the World Bank and Asian Development Bank and International Monetary Fund, and the Adventist Development and Relief Agency are attending the forum.
The participants are exchanging views on regional population, territory, natural resources, investment, international trade and risks threatening economic security, moreover, seeking ways to expand economic cooperation in regional countries.
The objectives of the forum is to examine current issues happening in regional countries and seeking corridor, collecting database and establish cooperation.
Opening remarks was delivered by B.Bat-erdene MP and Ts.Enkhtuvshin, Secretary of National Security Council (NSC). It was followed by presentations with topics 'Current Problems facing Southeast Asian Economy' and 'Mongolian Contributions to expand Southeast Asian Countries cooperation'.
