First forum of Council of professional associations kicks off
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On January 6, the first
forum of the Council of professional associations kicks off at Great Hall of Mongolian
National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI).
The
Council of professional associations has been officially established under the
Authority for Fair Competition and Consumer Protection (AFCCP) of Mongolia.
The Council of
professional associations, which is aimed to strengthen cooperation between
professional organizations, has decided to organize the Forum involving 120 associations. The forum is one of 10 activities, the Council plans to carry out for starters.
At the first forum, relevant
officials will be informed about the problems faced to small and medium
enterprises. The council also aims to address the following issues within the ‘New
Revival Policy’ to be implemented by the Government.
- To make the number of standards
fewer
- To eliminate
duplication of government functions,
-To have only one
organization that conducts inspection
The forum is present by delegates from 10 government agencies and more than 120 non-governmental
organizations. Members of Parliament, officials from the Ministry of Justice and
Home Affairs, the AFCCP, the SME Department, the Public Procurement Agency, and
the Agency for Standardization and Metrology are also taking part in the forum.
