Cabinet Expands Vocational Training Opportunities for Conscripts

Ulaanbaatar, October 23, 2025 /MONTSAME/. At its regular session on October 22, 2025, the Cabinet instructed Minister of Defense Batlut Damba to increase the number of conscripts enrolled in vocational and technical education institutions and training centers, and to provide opportunities for conscripts to acquire professional skills through short-term training programs.
The
costs of training conscripts participating in short-term vocational courses
will be financed by the Employment Promotion Fund in accordance with relevant
legislation.
Relevant
officials were also tasked with supporting vocational and technical education
institutions and training centers in providing professional training, and
implementing measures to promote employment opportunities for young soldiers
who complete their service with acquired professions.
Over the past
five years, approximately 2,000 conscripts from various units and divisions of
the Armed Forces have received vocational education and training in more than
10 professions through nearby vocational and technical training centers.
