Minister S.Chinzorig requests to broaden scope of vocational training project

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Labor and Social Protection S.Chinzorig met on Thursday delegation led by Stefan Duppel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia and Dorothy Schwill, policy advisor at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
At the meeting the sides exchanged views on projects targeted to improving vocational training system, updating curriculum and methodology of the training and upgrading training environment. Also they discussed on activities and result of the project Cooperative Vocational Training in the Mineral Resource Sector, being implemented by German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The project implementers noted that they supported the Mongolian team to participate in the WorldSkills competition to promote the image of vocational training.
In connection with the project implementation, the Minister expressed his appreciation for effective works in developing vocational training sector, and supporting youth employment. He put request to broaden the scope of the project, to introduce good practices implemented within the project to other training institutes and cooperate in strengthening human resources and skills in service sector besides mining sector.

Present at the meeting were teachers and students of Mongolian team who participated at WorldSkills Competition 2017, representatives of the vocational training centers and private organizations and they touched issues of vocational training quality and involvement of private sector in vocational training.
