Khuvsgul Aimag Plants 7000 Trees in Two Days

Ulaanbaatar, May 10, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Under the "One Billion Trees" National Campaign, over 80 public organizations and 200 enterprises planted seven thousand trees, bushes, and shrubs at the Soyombo complex of Murun soum, Khuvsgul aimag on May 6-7.
Khuvsgul aimag aims to plant 847 thousand trees this year.
The Soyombo complex was constructed in 2020 to attract foreign and domestic tourists to Khuvsgul aimag, a main-natural tourism destination of Mongolia. In addition to attracting tourists, the Soyombo complex has also become a green area of the Aimag, with an urban green space being built around it.
The "One Billion Trees" National Campaign initiated by the President of Mongolia is an important effort highlighting Mongolia's commitment to environmental sustainability and the preservation of its natural beauty.
