Exhibition Displaying Nomadic Lifestyle, Cultural Traditions, and Customs Opens

Ulaanbaatar, July 8, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Commemorating the National Naadam Festival for the 2233rd anniversary of the establishment of Mongolian Statehood, the 818th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, the 113th anniversary of the Restoration of National Freedom and Independence, and the 103rd anniversary of the People’s Revolution of Mongolia, the National Art Gallery of Mongolia has opened two exhibitions: the “Nuudel” fine art exhibition and the “National Pride” photography exhibition in collaboration with the United Association of Mongolian Photographers.


The collection of the Mongolian Art Gallery houses over 4,000 works by prominent figures of Mongolian fine arts. This time, the special “Nuudel” exhibition displays over 70 selected works, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, and contemporary pieces, depicting the lifestyle, cultural traditions, and customs of nomads.


Additionally, the “National Pride” photography exhibition presents more than 40 themed photographs illustrating the cultural heritage of the traditional Mongolian Gers, its modern development, and the items used within.


This comprehensive exhibition, which reflects the mindset and cultural patterns of Mongolians through all forms of visual arts, is available for public viewing free of charge until July 15, 2024.
