Agriculture Minister meets Hungarian counterpart

/MONTSAME/ Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Ch.Ulaan held a
business meeting with Minister of Agriculture of Hungary István Nagy.
At the
meeting, the Hungarian side welcomed the news that agreements and other
documents concerning the Biocombinat state-owned factory renovation project to
be jointly implemented by the governments of Mongolia and Hungary have been
finalized and that renovations are set to begin this spring.
Mr. István
Nagy voiced his immense pleasure at hearing that the project which has been
underway for 11 years will finally begin, saying the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture is ready
to collaborate.
The sides
agreed to jointly organize short-, mid-, and long-term capacity development training to upskill those who will be working at the renovated factory and
train new workers while renovations are underway.
Also, the
Hungarian minister stated that the sides can partner on the development of next
project proposals as the Biocombinat renovation project has been dealt with.
He showed an
interested in partnering to introduce Hungary’s world-leading water management
and irrigation technology and know-how to Mongolia, construct engineered wells
in pastures, and develop irrigation systems and said it is also feasible to
cooperate on the development of mechanical storage systems for food and
agricultural products.
