“Wonderful world of insects” exhibition

Mongolia is hosting 178 kinds of butterflies of 17 families and 431 kinds of insects which are found in 17 countries of Asia, Africa and America.

The rarest, endangered insects are exhibited for the first time in Mongolia at the Fine Arts Gallery upon the initiative of the Plant Protection Research Institute.

Mongolia is home to over 1000 species of 24 families of 2 subgroups of butterflies.

Mongolian welders to compete on world arena

Mongolian Skills 2016 competition is to name the best welder of Mongolia today. The winner will represent Mongolia at the World Skills Championships to be held in October 2017.

“Secret History of Mongols” copied on felt

The women council of the 0108 unit of the Mongolian border forces in cooperation with the Zamiin-Uud governor’s office and the Gobi Joloo NGO have created a felt arras with 1.8 m height and 108 m length on which the Secret History of Mongols is inscribed.

Over 1200 people have taken part in the creation of this unique work which is expected to be included in the Guinness World Records.

Bread with charcoal displayed

Opened yesterday an exhibition with the name “Science, Technology and Innovation 2016” has displayed black bread with charcoal invented by the Innovation and Business development Center of the Agricultural University of Mongolia.

The black bread and biscuits with charcoal are good for regulating blood cholesterol level, improving digestive system functions, kidney functions and preventing food poisoning.
