Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “The Sleeping Beauty” ballet is to be played at the State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet on April 29.

The three acts and scenes of the one of the most famous classical ballets will be played by State Honored Culture Figure Ts.Munkhbold as a ballet conductor, Hero of Labor, State Prize Laureate and People’s Artist B.Jamyandagva as a ballet master, B.Sosorbaram as scenic designer and N.Chinzorig as an assistant director.

The Sleeping Beauty requires tedious efforts from the performance group, as every fingertip movement and gaze of a ballerina presents rich details and moments which have to sync with the dancing, acting and music.

A libretto of the more than 120 year-old ballet was based on Charles Perrault’s “La Belle au bois dormant” and was written by Ivan Vsevolozhsky and Marius Petipa. Various composers, who have charmed by its magical fairytale of a theme, have left their joyful remarks. Choreographed by T.L.Soboleva, a renewed performance was first played in Mongolia in 1990.

The tickets are being sold at MNT 10 thousand, 15 thousand and 20 thousand.
