Contemporary art event to be organized in Uliastai

Art Days will be organized in Uliastai neighborhood on February 18 and 19.
During the event, a 400 m long
street near the Magic Land 2 center where the best contemporary artists of
Mongolia created their artworks as part of the Nomadic Red Corner project will
be shown to the public. Also, an exhibition featuring artists S.Amarsaikhan,
Ts.Ariuntugs, J.Ariuntuya, B.Baatarzorig, B.Bat-Erdene, S.Batsaikhan,
B.Dulguun, G.Munkhbolor, J.Munkhjargal, J.Munkhtsetseg, B.Nandin-Erdene,
S.Naranbayasgalan, B.Nomin, Ts.Tuvshinjargal, L.Khongorzul, Kh.Tsetsen,
R.Chinzorig, and T.Enkhbold will be hosted at the Magic Land 2 community
development center and sound, performance and community art events will take
place indoors and outdoors.
Nomadic Red Corner is an
initiative by Art Space 976 with the aim to bring art closer to the ger districts
of Ulaanbaatar city and has been collaborating with Mongolian contemporary
artists, volunteers, local communities, and organizations on art projects since
2020, successfully creating artistic neighborhoods in Chingeltei and Sukhbaatar
districts. Through its residency program, Red Corner plans to expand its
collaboration with international artists and curators, beginning from 2022.
Funded by the International
Relief Fund, an initiative of the Goethe-Institut and the German Federal
Foreign Office, and the Ministry of Culture of Mongolia’s Culture and Arts
Support Fund, the project is being jointly implemented by 976 Art Gallery,
contemporary artists, and the Magic Land 2 Center.
