Ballet Dancers from Liaoning Ballet Theater of China to Perform on Mongolian Stage

Ulaanbaatar, August 14, 2024 /MONTSAME/. For the first time, artists from the Liaoning Province Ballet Theater of the People's Republic of China will be performing in Mongolia.


During this performance, masterpieces such as "Swan Lake," "QiXi," "La Sylphide," "Harlequinade," "Jasmine Flowers," "The Nutcracker," "Love and Faith," and "Heavenly Dance" will be showcased on the stage of the Mongolian State Opera and Ballet Academic Theatre. The 120-minute performances, scheduled for August 24 and 25, will be open to audiences aged 12 and above.


The Liaoning Province Ballet Theater, known for creating ballet works that incorporate global classical elements and Chinese national characteristics, is one of the most renowned ballet theaters in China.  Established in 1980, over the years, the theater's ballet dancers have won more than 170 awards at major international ballet competitions.


Since its founding, the theater has brought to life around 20 world-class ballets on stage, including "Swan Lake," "Sleeping Beauty," "La Sylphide," "Le Corsaire," and "Don Quixote." In addition to creating their own works, he Liaoning Province Ballet Theater has actively collaborated internationally, choreographing a new version of "Swan Lake" with the world-renowned century dancer Malakhov, and performing modern ballets like "Butterfly."
