Shin Koyamada appointed as Mongolia’s cultural envoy

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On May 4, Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the United States U.Batbayar
presented a Certificate of Cultural Envoy of Mongolia to Shin Koyamada, who has
been appointed as Mongolia’s Cultural Envoy, and
signed a cooperation agreement.
Shin Koyamada is an
actor, producer, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and martial artist. He is best
known for his roles in ‘The Last Samurai’
and ‘Wendy
Wu Homecoming Warrior’.
Shin Koyamada has
also made numerous films, shows, comics, and video games through his production
company ‘Shinca
Entertainment’. In addition, he is a founder of
Koyamada Foundation, which collaborates with the United Nations and other
world-renowned NGOs.
Ambassador U.Batbayar
emphasized, “Shin Koyamada, who has starred in
numerous Hollywood movies over the past 20 years, has close ties with Mongolia,
and he will play a special role in developing the Mongolia-U.S. cultural
relations and cooperation, as well as implementing the Mongolian government's
policy to develop cultural and creative industries.
