Ulaanbaatar, June 11, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Mongolia’s Flag Carrier “MIAT” passed the safety audit conducted every two years by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and once again certified as a company that satisfies international standards on June 3-6, 2024.

MIAT passed the safety audit with 98.5 percent, which is 50 percent higher than the average score obtained by international airliners. Overall, 550 out of 930 safety standards were assessed under the Risk-Based IATA Operational Safety Audit, the newly implementing audit enriched with new methods of identifying non-compliance. These include assessing the airliner’s operations during flight, operations in the cockpit and fuselage, flight safety management and organization, aircraft maintenance, repairs, flight control, cargo and postage transportation, and flight safety.
