Economy
Ulaanbaatar,
April 20, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Damdinnyam
Gongor reached an agreement during his official visit to the Russian Federation
to secure a regular supply of aviation fuel from the country under preferential
terms.
He met with
Sergey Yevgenyevich Tsivilyov, Minister of Energy of Russia, and signed an
additional protocol to the intergovernmental agreement between Mongolia and
Russia on the supply of aviation fuel to Mongolia.
Under the
agreement, Mongolia will receive aviation fuel regularly at discounted terms.
The protocol will come into force alongside the existing agreement on petroleum
product supply to Mongolia. This is expected to play an important role in
stabilizing supply and mitigating rising oil and fuel prices linked to the
situation in the Middle East.
